My name is Jaihoon Samizada. I was born in Afghanistan, in a small province called Parwan. I was born in Nov 27th, 2005 during the war. I have one sister and two brothers. My parents were not rich, but they worked very hard for us. They paid a lot of money to send us to private school in Afghanistan. They always pushed us to become people who fight in the world with pen and knowledge, not with guns. I finished my primary school in Kabul and I started secondary school there. I was in grade10 when Taliban took full control of Afghanistan. All schools shut down. We moved to Pakistan and we stayed for 3 months there. We came to Canada in June 17th, 2022. When I came here I saw that everyone was very busy. I started my Canadian high school journey in grade 11 and I was thinking about how I can be useful to society. After five months, I started volunteering. I also started coaching in a wrestling club. I have around 18 kids who I teach. In September 2023, I thought how I can help newcomers in Vancouver and decided to start making this website.

 

I hope to become a commercial pilot one day!
